The Illuminating Engineering Society of New York City (IESNYC) is proud to announce the return of its highly successful mentorship initiative, The Guiding Lights Circle. Now entering its second year, this program is designed to support and inspire the next generation of lighting professionals through meaningful one-on-one mentorships.
This nine-month program, running from September 15, 2025 to June 2026, connects emerging professionals with experienced mentors across the lighting industry. With an emphasis on professional growth, industry insight, and shared learning, the program is open to both mentors and mentees who meet the eligibility criteria.
Why Participate?
Mentees (with fewer than five years of experience) will gain access to career guidance, technical insight, and professional networking opportunities. Meanwhile, mentors (with at least five years of industry experience and IESNYC membership) will have the chance to give back, share their expertise, and help shape the future of the profession.
Each pairing is expected to meet monthly in person, and participants are encouraged to attend special workshops and networking events throughout the program. Feedback is gathered mid-program and at the end to ensure continued improvement and participant success.
