The River Thames and its bridges are getting new lighting as part of the Illuminated River plan. The bridges will be lit up in different colors that will change throughout the day and will bring out the architectural beauty of these structures in a way like never before. Professional lighting designers have been brought on board to see this project to fruition, as lighting designers are the ones who understand how light affects the appearance and presentation of an architectural space. More about this project can be read in an article by Rowan Moore, originally featured in The Guardian.
