Join the DLFNY for an exclusive virtual sneak peak inside the luxurious renovation of one of NYC’s highest priced single family homes, recently featured in the New York Times. Betsy Correa, Senior Lighting Designer at Tirschwell & Co. Lighting Design will take us through the vision that brought this extraordinary building into the modern era.
248 Central Park West is a Queen Anne townhome on the Upper West Side by William Noble in 1887. In 1990 a severe fire wiped out most of the interiors. The home went under a massive renovation in 2004 where a 6th floor penthouse, a screening room and a lap pool were added. As highlighted recently in the New York Times feature, the characteristics of this townhouse such as the indoor pool and amenities provide a stunning experience nested steps away from Central Park.
In 2019 the home went under another restoration where Tirschwell & Co. was tasked with creating a spa like environment. The clients were not only open to using color changing lighting but encouraged it.
