Strategic Talent Growth and Project Success Signal HOK’s Dedication to Colorado’s Architectural Landscape
HOK’s Denver studio is experiencing continued growth, bolstered by new talent acquisitions and successful project wins that contribute to the studio’s expansion within the LoDo Towers. Candace Todd, who played a pivotal role in establishing the studio back in 2022, has been promoted to the position of senior regional practice leader. She will be working closely with Ryan Byrnes, director of design for Interiors, who recently joined HOK in April 2023, and Bill Johnson, the design principal overseeing the Denver studio.
Todd, known for her strong collaborative leadership and possessing over a decade of valuable experience, has a track record of delivering award-winning spaces across various market sectors. Her impressive portfolio includes projects for prestigious clients such as LG North America, Aetna, and Morgan Stanley.
Since the inception of the Denver studio, Todd has been at the forefront, leading HOK’s team in securing new projects for their office. She is actively engaged in the Denver community and actively contributes by serving on the economic development council for the Downtown Denver Partnership.
Todd expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, “Since launching the Denver studio, we’ve assembled an incredibly talented team that creates forward-thinking designs. I’m thrilled to continue this important work and collaborate with my team members in my new role.”
In response to the studio’s increasing demands for projects, the office is in the process of relocating to a space that is more than twice the size of its current location, all within the same building in downtown Denver’s LoDo District. The office plays a crucial role in supporting various HOK disciplines and markets, including Healthcare, Science + Technology, Sports + Recreation + Entertainment, Aviation + Transportation, Higher Education, and WorkPlace.
Bill Johnson, design principal for the Denver studio, noted,“Our strong presence in Colorado and commitment to our clients have helped us reach this milestone. Candace and Ryan will undoubtedly continue to elevate HOK, collaborating with project teams to deliver designs that positively impact the region and the community’s well-being.”
