A suspension lamp created in collaboration with Needs Studio, Tidal features a fluid, oval shape that captures the essence of the movement of celestial bodies, waves, and tides with a simple yet striking design. One side of the lamp is wider than the other, meaning the lamp appears to shift dramatically in perspective depending on its relation to the viewer. Tidal projects light downwards and upwards simultaneously, and its intensity can be adjusted via a dimmer controlled by the wall switch. JIM, by Patrick Norguet, is a system of suspension lamps available in three distinct shapes—bell, cone, and cylinder—and various diameters that allow for a multitude of compositions. Suspended from a self-supporting cable running through a transparent, tinted methacrylate hook, JIM is designed to shed light downwards while still illuminating the hook above the lampshade. Four shades of colors and three different hook hues (Turquoise, Honey, and Grey) provide fun design flexibility and excellent, aesthetically pleasing illumination while dining.
