About the job
We are seeking a Lighting Designer who will work with a multidisciplinary Design team to provide creative insights, recommendations, and create lighting drawings on a variety of design and architectural projects.

Responsibilities

● Draft lighting sheets in Revit
● Render lighting design in Revit
● Funnel all information from outside lighting consultants to internal design team
● Organize lighting specifications, schedules, and cut-sheets created by outside lighting consultants
● All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

● High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
● Ability to build Revit families for fixtures
● Working knowledge of drafting for lighting design and/or electrical engineering
● Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
● Ability to prioritize and manage an ever changing project lifecycle

Architechnology Designs is looking for a candidate to join our team of lighting designers and Audio Video integrators. We are a fast-growing innovative company looking for a talented person to enhance our company.

Candidates must have extensive knowledge of lighting design and the associated technology that accompanies it as well. Candidates must command project management skills. The role as Senior lighting designer should be able to occupy the principal role on each project assigned. They would be expected to meet with clients, design, pricing, installation, and whatever it takes to complete the project in an exemplary timely fashion.

Our Senior Lighting Designer is expected to coordinate with our design team, staff, and upscale clientele. They will be responsible for every potential need and obstacle while supporting the client’s needs at times perhaps adjusting the technical framework that may include rigging and engineering temporary structures while possibly designing the architecture of lighting control networks and much more.

Your Responsibilities, Impact, and what we expect:

● Knowledge of Lutron and DMX controls

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Lighting Designer 2, you will have the opportunity to:

● Provide complete lighting concepts and designs, luminaire selections, presentation development, photometric lighting calculations and renderings, BIM/Model production, lighting controls, energy and economic calculations, and specifications.
● Working with architectural project teams on all aspects of the art, science and business of lighting design in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
● Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering specializing in Lighting Design or closely related field
● 5 years of experience in field of architecture lighting design, devoted majority of professional time to the practice of architectural lighting design
● Strong computer skill using AGI32, Revit and Microsoft Office
● Interest in sustainable design
● Strong verbal communication skills
● Excellent organization and time management skills
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
● Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

● Master's degree in Architectural Engineering specializing in Lighting Design
