WASHINGTON – April 28, 2021 – The American Institute of Architects (AIA) invites building product manufacturers to attend its new multi-day event—the Smarter Together Series—in early June.

“We are committed to transforming our relationship with the building products industry by providing the kind of value they deserve from AIA,” said AIA EVP/Chief Executive Officer Robert Ivy, FAIA. “Our belief is that this event is a starting point for helping the industry find pathways to support architects and become strategic partners in creating a more sustainable and equitable built environment for all people.”

Programming for the event will focus on a range of topic areas over four days, including:

  • Wednesday, June 2: Assessing the state of the construction ecosystem.
  • Thursday, June 3: Analyzing the evolution of architectural practice.
  • Tuesday, June 8: Adapting new strategies for sales and marketing excellence.
  • Thursday, June 10: Aligning corporate values to drive new business value.

Together with experts from multiple disciplines in the industry, AIA is presenting this event to support its new Smarter Together Campaign, which aims to strengthen ties between the building products industry and the architecture profession.

Complete details about the event—including speakers and registration information—can be found on AIA’s website.
