Lighting Designer - Some traditional theatre experience will be needed to uniquely light the space and create theatrical lighting cues, but all actors will be projected as pre-filmed “holograms” (please list any past experience with projections or effects like Pepper’s Ghost) placed around the audience in a reverse - ”theatre in the round”. Rather than lighting actors and a stage, the lighting design will focus on creating an immersive set through light, in collaboration with the set designer. Practical elements that the audience interacts with will also be the result of the set and lighting design, so experience in building and lighting objects with various mediums is vital. These objects may be automated or triggered remotely by a stage manager. This is a highly collaborative role that will influence both the script and the overall production design.

Set Designer - The set designer will work closely with the creative team to develop both the “set” itself, and more importantly, the objects and installations that fill the room for the audience to interact with. Experience in building practical elements required. Because of the sci-fi aesthetic, this role will work closely with the lighting designer to build practical objects that respond either by automation or by remote trigger as the action of the play moves forward, some built into the set itself or to be held and manipulated by the audience. The set designer’s ideas and input will heavily influence what these practical elements ultimately become, influencing both the script and overall production design.
