City of Aspen to Residents: Lights Out

The city of Aspen, Colorado, has recently undertaken an effort to improve sustainability and the well being of wildlife by implementing a policy regarding exterior lighting. The policy is that holiday lights are only allowed within the timeframe of November 1st to March 1st. Many of the city’s residents are unaware of this policy, but this is an example of growing efforts that are arising to try to achieve sustainability and health of living beings through environmental lighting practices.
