Now in its seventh consecutive year, 28 New York City-based lighting professionals — designers, agency reps, manufacturers, educators, plus a few friends from allied fields — exhibited their after-hours creative pursuits at Moonlighting 2021 on the virtual online gallery.
The projects selected for the exhibition were curated by the Moonlighting Committee which consists of members representing the three New York City professional lighting organization — IESNYC, DLFNY, and IALD NY. They are responsible for all aspects of producing the event including logistics and fundraising. Works included collage, drawing, jewelry, mixed-media, neon, oil painting on wood, painting, photography, and soundtracks. In addition to returning artists who exhibited their latest works, Moonlighting 2021 had several first-time participants.
