designing lighting (dl) is featuring a series of best practices in the industry. Today we look at FILIX Lighting’s Make A Splash Campaign.
FILIX has made a SPLASH in NYC!
Last week FILIX Lighting USA with the support of their local Manufacturers Representatives Light Abilities on two evenings have hosted lighting designers from the City at their “Make A Splash“ underwater lighting workshop.
The “Make a Splash“ is an interactive workshop where the lighting designer gets to learn more on how light is behaving under water, what the most important parameters are to be considered when designing swimming pool and water feature lighting, and what the technical possibilities and limitations are of IP68 rated lighting instruments.
The best part of the workshop is when a FILIX team member jumps into the pool and performs a live mock-up with lighting instruments of different sizes and shapes, with different optics options and color temperatures.
At the two day event, FILIX Lighting USA has hosted 40 lighting designers of prestigious design offices: Loop Lighting LLC, The SEED, Tillotson Design Associates, Castelli Design, Clinard Design Studio LLC, Renfro Design Group, Flux Studio Ltd, The Lighting Practice HLB Lighting Design, Buro Happold, KGM Architectural Lighting, One Lux Studio, LLC, L’Observatoire International, Focus Lighting, Lothrop Associates, LLP, Claude R. Engle, Urban Steel Designs, Inc., ICRAVE NY, Sighte Studio, Tirschwell & Co., Inc. Architectural Lighting Design, Schwinghammer, L Studio, and Domingo Gonzalez Associates.
The “Make a Splash” in NY was a great success and super fun.
The next “Make a Splash” will be taking place on Feb 22nd in Los Angeles and will be hosted by FILIX Lighting USA supported by the local Manufacturers Representatives at David Silverman and Associates.
