The New York Power Authority and New York State Canal Corp. revealed the latest project in the Reimagine the Canals Initiative program. The Reimagine the Canals Initiative was announced in May 2019, with a few of the objectives being to improve quality of life for New Yorkers, support economic development along the canal, and enhance recreation and tourism along the canal. This latest installation celebrates the historic Erie Canal Lock E-17 in the Herkimer County city of Little Falls.
