The LIT Lighting Design Awards is delighted to announce an exclusive partnership with “Silhouette Awards (SA)” a pioneering program launched by Archifos and Parrot PR & Marketing.
The Silhouette Awards shine a light on emerging talents within the lighting industry and support these individuals as they progress throughout their careers. The focus of the awards is to provide support to young professionals, providing a platform to showcase young industry talent, followed by six-months mentorship with a senior lighting professional.
The LIT Lighting Design Awards 2022 “Emerging Lighting Product Designer of the Year” and “Emerging Lighting Designer of the Year” will receive 6 months of mentorship by one of the esteemed Silhouette Awards Judge Mentors to enhance their skill set, progress their career ambitions and add real value to the creativity of the industry.
The Mentors play an integral role in the Silhouette Awards initiative. Covering all corners of the globe, these hugely experienced and well-respected designers, will not only be responsible for selecting the Winning Mentees, but they’ll also participate in a six-month mentorship program with one of the Mentees.
Applications open on the 21st of September 2022 and can be submitted by designers of all ages, with less than 8 years of experience in the industry, who believe their talent should be recognized, and who wish to benefit from a bespoke mentorship program led by an expert panel of judges, ‘The Mentors’, comprising of senior influential lighting designers who are on the lookout to nurture young talent and help other like-minded individuals benefit from their own personal experiences.
