19 December 2022, Boston, MA – Available Light, an internationally recognized lighting design firm specializing in museum, architectural, and trade show/special event lighting design, is delighted to welcome four new members to our team.
Damien Perard Jr., Assoc. IALD, joins Available Light Los Angeles as a Senior Designer. He earned his BFA at CalArts where he gained immeasurable experience through various internships and design positions with renowned design studios across the country. Damien has worked on a number of project types including mixed-use, houses of worship, multi-tower residential, museums, international resorts, and entertainment venues. While an intern at Available Light, Damien worked on designs the National Museum of Intelligence and Special Operations and an Aquarium in Florida.
Omar Madkour Jr., Assoc. IALD, is a Designer at Available Light Los Angeles. Prior to joining the Available Light team, Omar was the Lighting Design Manager for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. He has an extensive background in Lighting Design ranging from Theatre, Opera, and Dance, to Music and Museum production and installation. Omar holds an MFA from CalARTS. At Available Light, Omar is eager to mold and paint light as a meaningful architectural element in the built environment.
Available Light Boston welcomes Josie Buckon a Boston-based Lighting Designer who earned her BFA at Emerson College. Josie’s artistic approach is rooted in utilizing the collaboration of elements involved within design; she values the ability to create a world which allows either brief escape or focused learning.
Inaugurating the new position of Project Management Coordinator of Special Events and Trade Shows (SEATS), Marcia Goulter brings nearly 20 years of management experience in the exposition/ trade show industry to Available Light. She has extensive experience building relationships, providing comprehensive logistics, and coordinating show site resources; all while working within the classic constraints of time and budget.
As a key member of our SEATS division, Marcia provides expert, high quality logistical and administrative support.
