New Ultraviolet Lighting from TCP Kills Germs, Recirculates Fresh Air

TCP is introducing a new line of LED lighting that reduces the amount of active microbes in the indoor air while it illuminates. TCP has chosen the perfect time to introduce this product as consumer demand is high due to the focus of health and wellness in homes, workplaces and retail spaces. TCP’s cutting-edge line of eco-friendly lamps and luminaires harness the germ-killing power of ultraviolet light to safely eliminate bacteria and viruses. TCP will be introducing three convenient and user-friendly products that will make up the TCP PurEssentials line: Purifying Downlights, Panels and A19s.

Ultraviolet (UVC) light provides effective radiation for neutralizing microorganisms, like common bacteria and the viruses that cause flu and COVID-19. TCP specifically uses UVC light because of its ability to effectively kill germs as opposed to UVA or UVB light which is less effective. Although people and animals can be harmed by direct exposure to UVC light, the PurEssentials lamps have been carefully designed to keep this light completely contained. The PurEssentials line uses a fan to circulate air into the fully enclosed ultraviolet light effectively killing any airborne bacteria. TCP is excited to introduce this product as it continues to be a leader in lighting innovations!
