Back in November 2021, EdisonReport posted a letter from the college of LEED Fellows that strongly recommended a rejection of this windowless design for the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) Munger Hall dormitory.  The letter’s signatories comprise a list of heavy hitters in lighting and architecture, with Nancy Clanton at the top of the list.  The LEED Fellows made their case for every student to “have access to natural daylight and quality views from every sleeping and living space.” Thousands of other building industry professionals, including faculty at UCSB, also petitioned for the halt of Munger Hall’s construction.
