Women in Lighting and Design (WILD) Dallas Fort Worth hosted a panel discussion at ArchLIGHT Summit last week on the topic of starting and running a women-owned business in the lighting industry. The panel featured four women leaders in the industry: Tejal Thankur, Founder/Owner of LightSpek; Jill Klores, Partner of Essential Light; Erin Moody, Principal at Studio e Lighting; and moderator: Alyssa Humphries Stewart, Designer at Essential Light, Associate Professor at TCU, and WILD DFW Chapter Leader.
The panelists discussed a variety of topics, including their personal journeys to becoming business owners, the challenges and opportunities they face in the industry, and advice for other women who are considering starting their own businesses.
