New York, NY and Indianapolis, IN, – Hartranft Lighting Design is thrilled to announce an expansion of its leadership team. Diane McNabb Rodriguez and Shoshanna Segal have been appointed to firm Principal positions.
Diane McNabb Rodriguez, an award-winning lighting designer with over three decades of experience, joined HLD as a Senior Lighting Designer in 2018 in the Charlotte, NC, office. Prior to her work with HLD, Diane owned a successful lighting consultancy and held a key position with an electrical engineering firm in Indianapolis, IN. In 2021, she returned to the Indianapolis area to expand HLD’s presence in this market. Diane’s elegant lighting design aestheticis further informed by her education in interior design. She is an active industry leader, having served as Director at Large on the board of the International Association of Lighting Designers through two terms and as Chair of the International Association of Lighting Designers Awards Committee.
Shoshanna Segal, a New York City–based lighting designer, joined HLD as a Senior Designer in 2022, expanding HLD’s offices in NYC. Shoshanna’s 30-plus years of lighting design experience include having previously owned a successful lighting consultancy as well as having held several key project management roles with some of the industry’s most respected lighting design firms. With additional experience in lighting and controls specification sales, Shoshanna brings these unique perspectives together to inform her award-winning lighting design work. Shoshanna is a Certified Lighting Designer (CLD) and a professional member of the International Association of Lighting Designers. She is the current president of the IES New York City Section and is widely recognized as an industry leader in the area of lighting controls.
