In a recent update, a new addition enriches the program at Light & Building. On the 7th of March, from 3-4 pm, WIL, in collaboration with the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), will present a pecha kucha session titled “Inspirational Women.” Six distinguished speakers, including Andrea Hartranft, Carla Wilkins, Cherine Saroufim, Tejas Doshi, Amardeep Dugar, and Philip Rafael, will share their insights, with 20 slides each transitioning every 20 seconds, promising a riveting and fast-paced exploration of their journeys and achievements.

Amidst the festivities, an upcoming interview with Lucy Carter, an esteemed UK-based designer renowned for her contributions to stage, dance, opera, and art, adds another dimension to WIL’s commitment to spotlighting remarkable talent. Made possible through the generous support of Ayrton, these interviews promise to inspire and enlighten audiences, underscoring the importance of fostering dialogue and visibility within the industry.

Furthermore, WIL extends an invitation to those in London on the 27th and 28th of February to attend the Workspace Design Show, a cherished partner event. Notable speakers, including WIL favorites Kristina Allison and Ruth Kelly Waskett, will explore the theme of circularity, offering invaluable insights and perspectives.

As the countdown to the anniversary session commences, WIL continues to embody its mission of empowerment, advocacy, and community-building, reaffirming its status as a trailblazer in the field of lighting design and beyond.
