Women in Lighting: From Cleopatra to Rita Harrold

Christopher Knowlton, CEO of the IALD and Sharon Stammers, co-founder of The Light Collective kicked of the fifth anniversary of Women In Lighting (WIL) during Light + Building 2024 in Frankfurt. Coinciding with International Women’s Day, the event paid tribute to the remarkable journey and the successes of women in lighting design across the globe.

The celebrations included a special “PechaKucha”-styled presentation, which took place on 7 March. An engaging panel captivated the audience with rapid-fire slides, each highlighting an inspirational woman within the space of 20 seconds.
