The IES San Francisco Section’s Light! Design Expo is returning to Pier 27 on San Francisco’s Embarcadero on June 20, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Known for its stunning views of the San Francisco Bay, this annual event is Northern California’s premier architectural lighting show, showcasing the latest in lighting products and attracting a diverse array of design professionals.
The Expo is tailored for the Bay Area’s architecture, design, and construction community, including lighting designers, architects, interior designers, engineers, construction firms, building owners, facilities teams, school districts, municipalities, and real estate developers. The event is free for attendees, offering a unique opportunity to network and explore innovative architectural and decorative lighting products in a festive, social setting.
Organizers expect over 1,000 attendees from the design and specification community. The event is supported by key industry organizations such as AIA, IIDA, and ASID. A significant highlight is the series of four free seminars, each accredited for AIA/LU, IDECEC/CEU, and IES/CEU, held in a spacious 3,000 sq. ft. area that can host up to 200 attendees per class.
Complementary cuisine from local food trucks, dessert carts, and coffee bars will be available throughout the expo floor, along with three no-host bars open from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additionally, the event will feature graphic displays of recent local lighting projects, showcasing the collaborative efforts of local designers and manufacturers.
The Light! Design Expo is not just an exhibition but a vibrant gathering for professionals to experience the forefront of architectural lighting innovation while enjoying the scenic backdrop of the San Francisco waterfront.
