Join WILD & IES Atlanta for a rewarding Community Outreach Event at the Atlanta Community Food Bank on Friday, June 14, 2024. This event, aimed at giving back to the community, will take place from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM ET at 3400 N Desert Dr, East Point, GA 30344.
The day will kick off with a lunch sponsored by Acuity Brands from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, providing a great opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and organizers. Following lunch, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, attendees will engage in various volunteer activities aimed at supporting the Food Bank’s mission of fighting hunger in the Atlanta area.
Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate, although children must be over 8 years old. Whether you choose to stay for the entire event or just a part of it, your contribution will be greatly appreciated. The dress code is important for safety and comfort: closed-toe and closed-heel shoes (sneakers or work boots are recommended) are mandatory, while flip-flops, Crocs, sandals, or heeled shoes are not allowed. Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a bit rumpled. Given that some volunteers will be sorting refrigerated products, long pants and a light jacket or sweatshirt are suggested. Lockers will be available on-site for storing any outerwear.
