It has come to our attention that a European contributor copied 279 words verbatim from an article written by Al Uszynski of inside.lighting in 2023. This same contributor also copied content from a 2020 article published by LEDs Magazine. Using specialized software, we discovered that many of this writer’s articles contained information from research papers and blogs without proper attribution.
We have terminated our relationship with this contributor and are currently removing all content he authored for designing lighting (dl). Over our four-year history, dl has collaborated with 79 contributors and writers.
I have apologized to Mr. Uszynski and to Ms. Carrie Meadows, Editor-in-Chief of LEDs Magazine. We deeply regret this happened and take the matter seriously.
