Launched in October 2024, the Light Justice NOW Awards recognize projects and initiatives that use the power of lighting to make a meaningful impact in underserved and marginalized communities. These awards celebrate lighting designs that go beyond aesthetics—focusing on safety, comfort, and community well-being. From public schools and community centers to housing developments and parks, the work honored here demonstrates how lighting can be a tool for equity and transformation.

The awards highlight outstanding work in two main categories: completed projects and community initiatives. Each submission is judged on both design excellence and the ability to create lasting, positive change. Stakeholder engagement, budget challenges, safety considerations, and community impact are key factors in determining the winners.
