Since its founding in September of 1984, the company has grown to become an industry leader, delivering enduring lighting solutions to some of the most prestigious and exquisite places around the world.

B-K Lighting started with a vision of creating high-quality lighting solutions with high-quality customer service. Over the years, the company has adapted to changes in the industry, embracing new technologies like laser diodes, which it adopted into a range of floodlights in 2023. By expanding its product line—from landscape floodlights to large area lighting and over 11,000 custom solutions—the company continues to meet the diverse needs of its customers.
For the founders of the company, inspiration struck in the most unexpected way—with a can of Coors Light. The compact design of that iconic, 7 ounce can, equipped with an MR-16 lamp from the Kodak® projector, ignited the idea that would shape B-K’s first product, the Lite Star floodlight. It was the first of its kind in the industry and would establish itself as the standard of the modern-day floodlight.
