Ann Schiffers has resigned as CEO of Flos. We began to hear rumors of this last week and yesterday on LinkedIn, she confirmed that she has decided to resign. I had the privilege of interviewing her as part of our C-Suite Beat at LightFair last year and found her to be extremely engaging. She seemed like the perfect person to take Flos to the next level. We wish her well.
You can read her LinkedIn post below:
“First, let me thank all of you for your overwhelming outreach during these past two weeks as I have found closure in my position at Flos. The rumors are true, I have decided to resign from Flos while the business is thriving here in the US.
Indeed the luminaires are gorgeous and the product offering is suitable for every application. What lies ahead for Flos is extraordinary.
Second, personally speaking, I can assure you that this was not an easy choice. It never is. Please know, my stepping away was a difficult, but right career choice.
I will miss coming to work each day to experience the positive “can-do” energy as this winning team openly shared their knowledge, deep drive and incredible commitment.
They are “best-in-class”, care deeply towards contributing to the lighting industry.
No doubt I have learned an enormous amount during the past 18 months, perhaps the most historically challenging for us all, as we managed to grow the business well beyond any and all expectations.Thank you for your support! We couldn’t have done it without you bringing the Flos brand forward.
This photo expresses my genuine support for Flos and acknowledgment that this team has touched my life in an unforgettable way.
Again, #congratulations for the great success in 2021 and 2022 ……and beyond!”
