Landscape Forms, North America’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-design LED lighting, site furniture, structure, and accessories, announces it is now a Brand Partner with the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) and a member of the Lighting Industry Resource Council (LIRC), a coalition of the International Association for Lighting Designers (IALD). Both organizations play significant roles in advancing responsible and quality lighting. IALD advances and recognizes the profession of lighting design and provides educational opportunities and engagement with other lighting designers around the world. IDA’s mission is to protect the night sky from light pollution and raise awareness of the impact of over-lighting and the benefits of responsible lighting.
IDA Brand Partners is a program that establishes relationships between corporate and business sectors and the IDA. These partner organizations support programs, outreach, education, and night-sky conservation efforts. “Our partners invest in us and support our work,” says International Dark-Sky Association CEO and Executive Director Ruskin Hartley. “They help us reach new constituents and spread awareness of dark sky benefits. It’s meaningful for people to hear about our mission from trusted peers.”
“IDA and Landscape Forms share common values of protecting the nighttime environment through appropriate lighting and avoiding the negative impacts of over lighting,” says Landscape Forms Lighting President Jordan Agustin. “We also support the use of warmer color temperatures at night to better support the health of the ecosystem.”
International consortium LIRC promotes communication between lighting designers and manufacturers with the goal of advancing products, services, business practices, and lighting design education. “Landscape Forms is passionate about light and using it to create quality environments,” says Agustin. “Our partnership with LIRC fosters open dialog between lighting design practitioners and manufacturers to develop new and better tools for the application of light.”
