Jean-Georges’ The Tin Building, a culinary marketplace located at Pier 17 in the South Street Seaport, was featured in our February issue of designing lighting magazine. DLFNY and l’Observatoire International are now organizing an event at the venue, which has over 20 new restaurants, bars, and retail experiences in addition to the original Fish Market. The event, scheduled for April 25th, will include a walking tour and a presentation by lighting designers Carlos Garcia and Jacinda Ross, who will discuss the role of lighting in the project’s design aesthetic. Admission will cost $15-$20.
