Studio UNLTD is currently seeking a qualified Junior Interior/ Lighting Designer to assist with a variety of restaurant/ hospitality projects. This position is in person at our studio in Los Angeles.

The minimum requirements for the candidate:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in interior and/or lighting design from an accredited institution.
- Must have 1-3 years’ work experience with at least one of those years in lighting design preferred.
- Exhibit strong design/ concept ability.
- Experience in developing construction documents, including detailing.
- Demonstrate attention to detail & organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly & professionally.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist Senior Designers and Lighting Designer on all phases of project lighting design, from concept through construction administration.
- Work closely with project team, consultants and contractors.
- Source FF&E and finish materials and create specifications.
- Work with lighting reps to research and evaluate lighting options, and gather samples and pricing.
- Provide lighting design solutions appropriate to project brief, budget and relevant standards.
- Attend site visits for aiming and adjusting.
- Prepare client presentations.
- Develop lighting design solutions including but not limited to lighting calculations, research of fixture alternatives, and review of fixture samples
- Assist in the documentation of lighting design via CAD layouts, lighting details, light fixture schedules and lighting control specifications
