WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Early Career Lighting Designer for our Irvine, CA office. Be involved in projects with our Property & Buildings Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
- Under general supervision, provides technical support for project designers with the production of lighting projects. Tasks may include basic assistance with the research, design, concept development, lighting layout, and architectural coordination for all project types.
- Assist with performing basic professional lighting design work relating to conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, layout, and systems to determine conformance with applicable standards and codes.
- Assist with basic technical assistance on various design, installation, and integration issues relating to creating state of the art lighting design that is innovative and inspiring, developing luminaire and controls specifications, applying daylighting/harvesting, and creating spaces that impact building capabilities, ambiance, safety, and security.
- Assist with generating complete, accurate, and concise documentation and specifications using electronic systems, artistic renderings, drawings, diagrams, illustrations, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, Theater Production Design or related degree.
- 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
- Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Manager drives sales growth in the designated territory; manages relationships with Sales Representative Agencies (Reps) to ensure performance and accountability; works with Reps to establish distributor relationships and service existing relationships to drive sales and growth; leverages sales management experience and lighting industry or similar technology background to drive revenue opportunities by developing, organizing, implementing, managing, and executing against the strategic plan for the Regional Sales segment; identifies and develops sales opportunities and long-term relationships with established and new customers, leveraging both direct and indirect sales resources; creates plans, strategies, objectives, policies, and procedures that are aligned with the Company’s overall mission and objectives. Manages assigned activities and builds collaborative relationships at all levels within the organization; aids the Chief Revenue Officer and EVP, Customer Experience in areas of expertise.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Assumes full management responsibility for all Regional Sales programs, services, and activities to grow our business by creates value for our customers and developing own territory
• Develops area sales network and pipeline; penetrates major, significant accounts, focusing on the establishment and maintenance of strategic relationships; defines annual goals, strategies, and methods to evaluate segments profitability and sales performance
• Executes Company’s sales plan in support of company goals and regional objectives; influences, and motivates buyers and decision makers through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities including, prospecting, approaching, presenting, closing, and follow-up to achieve expedient purchase decisions
• Relationship manager for existing customers, playing an important role in developing and maintaining the company's image and reputation in the marketplace:
o Assesses customer plans and requirements on an ongoing basis from a technical, business, tactical and strategic perspective
o Provides technical assistance with internal technical resources to existing customers to troubleshoot product issues
o Collaborates with the product development division
o Recommends new market/product development opportunities and needs
o Communicates special customization requests to the product division
o Coordinates involvement of all necessary team members to achieve desired goals
o Identifies new sales opportunities to achieve sales expansion through a variety of prospecting activities including networking, prospecting, conducting on-site sales calls, cold calling

The role of Lighting Designer collaborates with Senior Team Leads and other team members to coordinate and develop a successful design. The lighting designer plays a critical role in supporting the design team by:

- Producing architectural drawings using software tools such as AutoCAD and/or Revit

What You Will Do
- The Designer will assist lighting designers, architects, engineers and project managers in the execution of specific assignments
- Prepare lighting design calculations for proof of concept and to confirm wattages and documentation for schematic design, design development and construction documents
