WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Lead Lighting Designer to join our Arlington, VA office.

Your Impact
- Manage day-to-day correspondence with project teams both internally and externally to coordinate and lead tasks amongst team members to meet upcoming project deadlines.
- Assist with developing and implementing lighting design concepts through all phases of the design and construction process.

Required Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in Lighting Design
- Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or Lighting Design
- Strong creative design skills

We currently have an opportunity for a Lighting Designer to join our dynamic lighting professionals in our New York City Lighting Design Studio.

Job Responsibilities

As an architectural lighting designer you will support the lighting studio working towards our designs that are inspiring, demanding and highly collaborative. You will be responsible for providing trade-specific system design: layout, calculations (utilizing appropriate software), and coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering / internal and external). You will conduct field inspections to determine existing conditions and to coordinate new work.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Create designs from concept through construction administration under the direction of the senior designer(s),
- Support the design efforts of lighting systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement and system upgrades for a wide variety of projects and project types.
