We’re seeking a Lighting Designer to join our collaborative and creative team. This is a hands-on role for a designer with a strong understanding of architectural lighting and the built environment, eager to contribute across all phases of design and documentation.

We welcome applicants from related design and technical disciplines including architecture, interior design, and engineering who bring demonstrated lighting knowledge and a strong interest in lighting-focused work.

You’ll work closely with the team on active projects from concept through construction and site work.

This is a paid, full-time in-person salaried position based in our NYC studio.

Responsibilities

Develop and document lighting plans, diagrams, and fixture schedules
Conduct fixture research and prepare cut sheets, specifications, and design presentations
Produce and maintain AutoCAD drawings in coordination with multidisciplinary project teams
Contribute to schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
Collaborate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and manufacturers
Participate in internal design reviews, meetings, site visits, and focusing sessions
Support studio operations and project coordination as needed

Qualifications

Degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field
2+ years Professional experience in architectural lighting design or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated understanding of lighting principles, fixtures, and applications
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), and Microsoft Office
Revit and AGi32 experience a plus
Strong design sensibility, technical aptitude, and attention to detail
Clear communicator and collaborative team member
Available to work in person in our NYC studio

Compensation

The anticipated annual salary range for this role is $55,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience, background, and demonstrated lighting expertise.
