Supports the design effort for projects
Supports the design implementation and lighting installation (per project scope)
Support development of and communicate lighting design concepts
Organize and produce design documents

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, Theater Production Design or closely related discipline.
3 to 5 years of relevant post education experience.
Familiarity with process and concepts for sustainable lighting strategies, principles, and practices.
Strong creative skills with an ability to balance lighting aesthetics and client desires with practical concerns.
Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
Proficiency with artistic renderings, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.
Proficiency with discipline-specific design software (i.e., AutoCAD or Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365, InDesign or Sketchup and AGI21 or similar lighting software).
Ability to render using Photoshop or other similar software.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
