Your Key Responsibilities

Report writing.
Developing presentation materials, renderings and graphic packages.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Can-do approach to project work and assignments.
Competent knowledge of and proficiency working in Revit.
Familiarity with BIM applications such as SketchUp, Enscape, Navisworks, Lumion, Rhino.
Understanding of applicable building and energy codes and ability to apply them for typical project types.
Able to apply best practices of appropriate content for lighting drawings (plans, elevations, sections and details).
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to research and present design options.
Strong prioritization and time-management skills.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator Adobe tools.
Competent knowledge of and proficiency with photometric calculation software such as LightStanza, AGI32, photometric toolbox, and IES files.

Required Qualifications:
· 3 years of Experience as an Architectural Lighting Designer with minimum 1 year of project management.
· An accredited professional degree within the design industry. Architecture, Lighting Design, Theater/Entertainment, Interior design – or work equivalent.
· Proficiency in the following programs:
o AutoCAD (2D)
o Revit
o Microsoft Office
o Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

How you will do it…

Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to design systems that can support project lighting designs and the project creative intent.
Complete project deliverables including but not limited to lighting plots, equipment schedules, performance specification, system risers, focus charts, patch sheets, show-files, and control config files.
Collaborate with colleagues to clearly articulate all technical, schedule, and budget requirements to execute lighting designs.
Support coordination with AOR, EOR, State and Local Jurisdictions.
Oversee and/or implement installation of lighting systems as well as supporting infrastructure such as electrical, rigging, and data systems.
Support exhibition lighting design and execution with pre-programming and field programming efforts.
Stay up to date on cutting edge technologies, software, and equipment to support innovation in lighting design.
