In the role of Lighting Designer 2, we'll count on you to:

Work with project teams on all aspects of the art, science and business of architectural lighting design
Take responsibility for training and providing guidance to maintain CAD/model production standards.
Work under the guidance of more-senior staff, as well as working independently, to support design presentation and construction documentation production for architectural lighting design projects. Take responsibility for lighting calculations, energy and economic calculations, building certification compliance credits, and CAD/model production, construction documentation, and construction administration support.
Develop and build working relationships with colleagues and clients
Support marketing efforts, development of qualification packages, and industry leadership.
Perform other duties as needed

Lead Designer Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Act as the Lead Designer, overseeing and performing complete electrical systems design according to code for assigned projects.

Equipment Specification: Specify project-specific equipment, researching available technologies and resources for commercially available equipment.

Cost and Time Management: Calculate costs and time schedules for proposed work, reviewing files to determine scope and personnel involved.

Documentation and Client Relations: Maintain good client relations, project design records, and provide thorough documentation for permanent records. Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions promptly.

Coordination and Review: Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines, review project documents for accuracy, and ensure completeness before final checks. Assist Senior Lighting Designers and Staff with production work (drafting, setup, photometrics, etc) and ensure projects are completed on time.
Assist with research of lighting fixtures and equipment as part of the design process.
Collaborate with the Design Team as well as the Technical Team as required in producing cohesive, successful projects.
Attend lighting conferences and industry tradeshows to further expand and bolster your working knowledge of the craft.
Attendance in-office is mandatory for a minimum (3) days per week as of 2/1/24 with (2) days being remote. In-office days to be determined by Senior Staff or Management.
