Seeking a full-time (30-40 hours) employee who can start in December/January for a production-level position. AutoCAD and Revit professional proficiencies are required. Minimum 3 years of experience in the architectural lighting design field is required. Rebar provides office space for those who wish to commute, however, there is no requirement to commute to the office on a regular basis. We require staff to be located within driving distance of the office to attend product presentations, networking events, etc. Our main work types are multi-family residential / mixed use, single-family residential, and civic. Ideal candidates have previous product development/product management experience along with deep knowledge of the design and operation of professional and theatrical lighting and LED video equipment, and have considerable experience using products like ours IRL.

As a Blizzard PM, you’ll be responsible for the research and development of new professional lighting and video products and routinely collaborate with our marketing team to make sure we’re getting the word out on all of our product offerings. You’ll also be involved in training and upper-level technical support for the degens in sales. Pro tip: help them win that set of steak knives in the monthly sales contest, and they’ll be your bestie forever.

Principal Responsibilities:

Assist with design portions of a project related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards;
Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment;
Assist with good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files;
Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers;
Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress;
Assist with review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check;
Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information;
Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement;
Other duties assigned by the employer.

Designs and specifies project-appropriate lighting design requirements.
Coordinates designs with the work of others.
Performs Revit modeling and detailing.
Assists to conduct site investigations and observations.
Assists to prepare narratives, reports, hand and computer calculations, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints.
Assists to perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination.
Additional assignments may include attending client and internal meetings, assisting with performing construction contract administration, and assisting with marketing/business development activities.
Travel for project related activities relative to existing building assessments/investigations, client meetings, or construction jobsite observations may be required
