We are seeking talented applicants to join our design team with managing several projects at various stages of design and of varying scales, redlining initial layouts, leading client meetings, producing CAD and Revit drawings, schematic presentation packages, visual research, mock-up tests of lighting details, and general project work. Qualifications:

-2-4 years experience in Architectural Lighting
-Manage projects through all phases of design with thorough understanding of lighting details, budget
-Meet with/present to Clients
-Review construction with Contractors on site and come up with real-time detail adjustments as needed
-Lead and train Junior Lighting Designers in a supportive environment
-Advanced experience with AutoCAD
-Proficiency in Revit
-Experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
-Sketching and model building skills are a plus
-Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
-Must have excellent organizational skills
-Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
-Degree in Architectural Lighting, Theatrical Design, Architecture, or Interior Design preferred
-Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior design, Lighting Design, or Architecture required
● 5+ years of project based residential lighting design experience required
● Experience must include creation of lighting plans, lighting schedules, and lighting specification packages
● Proficient computer skills utilizing AutoCAD, Acrobat and Excel. Experience with Dialux or AGI32 not required, but helpful
● Project management experience
● Domestic architectural lighting acumen, acute knowledge of residential dimming protocols and basic wiring
● Keen eye for design and creativity
● Strong grasp of residential lighting trends
● Knowledge of residential construction processes and a deft understanding of construction documents
● Critical thinking, superior organization, planning skills, time management and prioritization with the ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure in a dynamic, multi-location team environment
● Excellent communication skills, possess the ability to clearly articulate design and technical information to clients and internal teams
● Experience professionally presenting solutions to customers
● Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times and possess the ability to remain calm under pressure
● Ability to achieve results both independently and through collaboration

Associate Lighting Designer

The Associate Lighting Designer is responsible for collaboration with the architect, interior designer, client and electrical engineer to create a complete lighting design complete with fixture selection and controls. Lighting design will primarily be limited to front of house spaces and building façade. This position involves attending design meetings, creating lighting designs for the clients, recommending and selecting fixtures, and preparing and presenting submittal packages to clients. Other responsibilities would involve working closely with the internal estimating, engineering and lighting distribution departments to present the client with the final product that is fully coordinated and is within the customers budget.

Position Details/responsibilities…
● Produce accurate, efficient, creative and coordinated lighting design utilizing internal and external sources.
● Conduct ongoing analyses of fixture packages to identify opportunities and provide suggestions for optimal product and pricing selections.
● Provide excellent customer service, attending client meetings during all phases of the project life cycle and assisting in the selection and approval process while remaining budget-conscience.
● Create and submit thorough fixture submittal packages based on customer specifications utilizing internal resources.
● Act as a liaison between the client/architect and engineering/estimating departments.

Additional Job Description

● Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
● Knowledge of product lines, pricing of lighting fixtures and lamps, and lighting control systems required.
● Proficient with lighting calculations utilizing lighting modeling software (Visual Pro, AGI 32, etc.)
● Ability to work in AutoCAD/Revit is preferred but not required.
● Ability to demonstrate general design skills including sketching, visualization and graphic communication.
● Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and computer illustration skills is preferred, but not required
● Knowledge of the architectural and engineering design process.
● Ability to multitask in a high volume, fast paced work environment with very tight deadlines.
● Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
