Essential Functions:
ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING DESIGN
● Design lighting for and create supporting documentation for architectural projects under the supervision of a senior lighting designer
● Select Fixtures and Generate fixture specifications
● Verify light levels using photometric software
● Create CAD plans, RCPs, details and riser diagrams (AutoCAD and Revit)
● Layout basic lighting control systems
● Assist with lighting mockups including programming, fixture rental coordination, installation and troubleshooting of equipment.
● Ensure design documentation is accurate and meets Radiance and Client formatting standards
● Work with contractors in the field to locate lighting positions (if extended past June)
● Work with programmers in the field to program lighting looks

GENERAL
● Maintain a professional attitude and work to secure a positive & creative work environment in the office and the field
● Provide daily updates to supervisor when working on active job sites
● Handle multiple simultaneous tasks
● Stay calm under pressure
● Communicate professionally with clients and co-workers.
● Driver’s license and ability to travel to and from job sites with irregular schedules (if extended past June)
● Work extended hours depending on production schedules and deadlines

Minimum Requirements:
● Minimum one years’ experience in architectural lighting or degree in architectural lighting
● Prior design experience on small to mid-sized lighting projects
Preferred Education:
● Bachelor or Master Degree, in relevant field.

Required Software:
● Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Especially Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
● Advanced skills in Adobe PDF Professional or BlueBeam
● Proficient use of AutoCAD
● Basic use of Revit
Preferred Software:
● Photo or video editing software for rending (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, or other)
● AGI or other Photometrics software

Responsibilities

Job Requirements/Qualifications

● Proficiency in Adobe suite, AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, or other 3D lighting calculation software is required.
